Howler Magazine - Issue 9

The Howler Fall/Winter issue is filled with original feature writing, profiles, essays, and some of the best illustration and photography the game has to offer. In our cover story, The Man Who Wasn’t There, Luke Dempsey writes about Carlos Tevez, the boy from Fuerte Apache whom modern soccer turned into a financial product. From the editor’s letter:

There’s a purity to what Tevez does on the soccer field, and it strikes a severe contrast with the story of his career. Think about almost any of the issues that have insinuated themselves into the modern game and you’ll realize that Tevez has taken a side in the argument.
